Putnam City Schools will hold an election for the Office 3 School Board seat on April 4, 2023. Lori Tuggle and Judy Mullen Hopper (incumbent)will appear on the ballot and voters will be able to select one candidate.

CANDIDATES

Tuggle is a registered Republican and has voted in Republican primaries in the past.

 

Tuggle prioritizes academics and says she wants to improve proficiency in reading and math.

 

Tuggle wants to put teachers and students first and wants to replace School Board members who are not prioritizing education.

Lori Tuggle is running for the Office 3 School Board seat.

Hopper was the Democratic candidate for the Oklahoma State Senate in 2016.

As a school board member, Hopper voted to institute a mask mandate and shared a post stating “If you want to come to school, suit up in a mask.”

Hopper compared the pandemic to a military combat zone, stating everyone needs to be vaccinated to serve their country.

Hopper opposed a bill that bans teaching Critical Race Theory in schools.
